Too many sites to ping?

    hi,

    When I make a post on my forum (note, this hapening when I add more 53 sites to the update service) I dont recive an information “your messege was posted” (my blog is in Portuguese, so I dont know the exact messege).
    But the messege is posted anyway. I *JUST* dont recive information that it is posted.

    This hapening after I have 54 websites to ping.
    Yes, I know this are many sites to ping, but I need all of it to spread my ideas -_-

    Can someone help me to get a modifcation to ping “X” per second or minute or to fix this error?

    You know when you ping Ping-O-Matic, they ping a bunch of sites for ya? http://pingomatic.com/

    I don’t know the answer to your question, but, I think there was a hack to make the pinging cycle occur later (so you’d get your post confirmed, THEN it would work on pinging in the background). Anyone know?

    “Then don’t do that.”

    Use a ping aggregator service like pingomatic or one of several others. Feeding 53 sites to hit every time you post something is more than a bit silly, don’t you think?

    Hello,

    I know the pingomatic but it dont solve my problem.
    I’ve to ping sites that arent there. So, it will not help.

    Can anyone confirm that it will run in a cycle?
    I dont see nothing in cron jobs (i’ve root access) and my user (i’ve php with suEXEC) dont show up on top command.

    Use smart ping plugin it will provide you log where you can find your success and fail pinged
