Hi @dartford5,
Sorry to hear about the difficulties encountered.
To resolve the issue on X, you need to set up a custom account for Twitter. All the steps can be found here – How to setup a custom account for Twitter?.
Regarding Facebook, please make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin and try to reconnect your Facebook account.
Hope it helps and let me know if you require any further assistance.
Hi Poonam and thanks for your reply. Ok I’ll try it with Twitter but meanwhile I can’t make it work with Facebook (like I did before) And yes I’m using the latest version of the plugin. I get the following message: “Preparing authorization… No Facebook pages or groups were given authorization for posting. Please make sure you have higher access to a Facebook page or group.”
Looking forward to your help. Thanks again.

Hi @dartford5,
Unfortunately, starting on 22 April 2024, third-party applications are no longer accessible within Facebook groups, as you can see in the Meta announcement – here. This change impacts ROP’s integration, and there are no viable solutions available.
Please note that you can still use ROP to share posts on Facebook pages and Instagram profiles. Only the groups were affected by this change.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!
Hi again Poonam,
I’m not using ROP to share on a Facebook group, but a page, and it’s not working. Thus my inquiry. Looking forward to your help. Thanks again!

Hi Andreea and thanks for your reply. However Revive Old Posts is currently showing two error messages now, as follows:
Preparing authorization…
Facebook SDK returned an error: Cross-site request forgery validation failed. Required param “state” missing from persistent data.
Error posting on X: Too Many Requests | Additional info: {“title”:”Too Many Requests”,”detail”:”Too Many Requests”,”type”:”about:blank”,”status”:429}
Any suggestions?
Thanks again in advance.
