I followed the instructions to stop the too many redirect errors. Didn’t work. Apparently, you have to pay to use an add-on that stops this, when it said you can use for free makes no sense.

Hi, MsDrama. Sorry you’ve run into issues setting up PMPro. There are a number of reasons for redirect issues.

One big cause of redirect issues is if your site is only partially served over HTTPS. Sometimes different plugins/settings can get into a loop trying to redirect back and forth from HTTP to HTTPS. The best solution is to serve your site over HTTPS always and disable the “Force SSL” setting in PMPro so we just bow out and let your site be served over HTTPS.

It sounds like you might have tried some from our Troubleshooting HTTP/HTTPS issues guide:

    https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/debugging-httpsssl-issues/

Another cause is if the pages on the PMPro page settings are setup incorrectly. You can’t e.g. use the same page for your levels and checkout pages. Each page there should be a unique page and should be linked to a page.

If you are using any of our add ons that require a page be added, make sure those pages are also added and set up.

There can be many other causes for redirect issues. It takes a bit of programming/hacking experience, but we recommend using the WP Debug Redirects plugin to find the last line of code/plugin that is causing the redirects. https://wordpress.org/plugins/debug-wp-redirect/

We don’t have a premium add on specifically for redirect issues, but on the blog post I linked to earlier we mention that we can help premium members to resolve redirect issues. We would need to get more information from you to access your site and spend time debugging the issue and often more time working with other themes and plugins to resolve the issue. We can’t offer this to non-paying members.

I hope you are able to figure out the issue on your site and get your membership site site setup.
