    Any one else encounter the same issue?
    Thanks,

    Hi,

    I updated from 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 and then none of the pages could be displayed – Chrome indicated that they were too many redirects to display the website pages.
    I went back to 2.0.5 very quickly as it was on a live site.
    Thanks,

    Frederic

    Same issue here, updated Polylang and now it throws 404 errors on the main (home) page.

    Same here, I get 404s, too many redirections message, all pages of one language displayed together and other crazy results!

    DONT UPDATE TO 2.0.6, IT BREAKS YOUR SITE!!!

    Hello, for me as the update to 2.0.6 to off several of my sites. Stay on 2.0.5 pending a fix.

    Hi!

    With such contributions, you will *never* get a fix, because we will *never* know what’s your problem because you give *no* useful indication to help you.

    To all, please read https://wordpress.org/support/topic/please-read-before-posting-21/
    and give useful details otherwise you will stay alone.

    Dear Chouby,
    Thank you for your response.
    I think our posts depict our frustration when we saw suddenly our websites broken when what we just did was clicking the update button on Polylang.
    Actions I took:
    * I deactivated all plugins except polylang
    * I also got the default WP theme enabled
    * I cleared my browser’s cache
    * I used different browsers

    The behavior is still the same:

    * When I type in the address bar: mysite.com/en I get to a page where “Nothing found” is displayed (like it was searching for something within pages or posts and couldnt find it).
    * When I type mysite.com/el I get greek menus but the same page like above, “nothing found”
    * When I type mysite.com (without language) it gets redirected to mysite.com/el and the same page appears

    A strange and interesting thing at the admin area is:
    When you go to Pages>All pages you see both the Greek and English pages but there is a sign “–Front Page” just at the right of the greek front page title but there is no such a thing at the right of the english front page title, although the two pages are bound together (when you click the small pencil you are being redirected to the other language page and visa-versa).
    So the system understands that these two pages are the same page in different language, but it only understands the greek (default language) page as front page (the english is ignored).
    The same behavior exists for the news page (marked with “–News page” in the Pages list)

    My settings (Settings>Languages) are:
    * Languages: Greek (el), English (en_GB)
    * Default language is Greek
    * URL modifications:
    > The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
    > Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks
    * Detect browser language: deactivated

    * Settings>Permalink Settings: http://mysite.com/%category%/%postname%/
    * Settings>Reading>Front page displays>A static page: Front page: [Greek index page]

    I hope the above description is quite good in order to help you.
    Thanks in advance and my apologies for any frustrated reactions.

    Dear Chouby,

    This is an update to my previous post.

    In addition to the above settings, when the following option is enabled (checked):
    “The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id”
    then the behavior changes:
    * The greek version http://mysite/el always gets redirected to the english version http://mysite/en
    * The english version, instead of “nothing found”, displays the contents of ALL website pages (!!!), both english and greek!

    Awaiting for your reply
    Thanks again

    Ok, I went back to 2.0.5, which is working fine.

    See this post if you want to downgrade:

    @isfak

    Thanks a lot. This kind of report makes us progress in the right direction. I have reproduced the issue as you describe it and I will come with a fix.

    @chouby,
    Thank you as well; sorry for my first post; i was too frustrated at that point
    We will be waiting for your fix.
    If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know

    @isfak The version 2.0.7 should fix the issue (at least what I could reproduce thanks to your indications).

    I understand the frustration when a plugin update breaks. That’s why I always make backups on my own sites before any update. We are making a lot of tests before pushing updates but unfortunately, mistakes are always possible.

    To the others: I still haven’t reproduced any infinite redirect loop. If the version 2.0.7 does not solve the issue, please come back with a detailed report to allow me to reproduce it.
