    Had been a long and happy user of Better WP Security until the change to iThemes. Since then frequent issues including… DB backup not working, then locks on htaccess errors, ssl being added to wp-config.php (without being activated). Attempts to disable iTS 4.0.27 before updating to 4.1.5 and all data in wp-config.php was removed bringing down the site. Had to restore the file (to get the site up) Then delete iTS and reinstall to get iTS to work again. There seems to be issues with every new update recently and way too many updates in a short time frame. Issues present on WP 3.8.1 and 3.9. Moved from a 5 star to a 2 and testing alternative security plugins. Hopefully you guys can get what “was” an excellent plugin stabilised.
