• Hi
when I make a google search of my site (even using the EXACT domain name)
nothing comes up. In A records there are a number of IP addresses under my domain name, and I was told that that would be blocking or interfering with my site coming up.
I really am so frustrated as I am no computer genius and thought using WordPress and building a 3 page site would be at least a bit simpler than this!
    Please help if you can

    my site is http://www.completegreenclean.com.au

    Many thanks in anticipation

  • Your URL points to a server/domain (owned by WordPress.com) that takes care of a lot of sites. This is normal, since WordPress is taking care of millions of sites, and not every site has it’s own server.

But, this really has nothing to do with whether or not you can be found on Google. If a search brings up absolutely zero results, it’s simply that Google doesn’t know about your site in the first place and you’d have to make yourself known to them, so to speak.

If other sites link to you, that’s one way. Using Google Webmaster Tools is another way.

Just creating a 3-page site and then wait for Google to find you, is not really how it works. 🙂

    Hi Senff
thanks very much for your reply. Even when I put in my exact domain though not even that comes up. I understand that Ill need SEO etc, but I have another site and when I enter the URL that comes up-this one doesnt 🙂

How many other sites link to your Completegreenclean.com.au site? When did you set it up?

Having this forum link to it may already help, but it could take days/weeks before it actually shows up in Google.

    Hi,
sorry for the confusion, the other site has nothing to do with this one. It is not using wordpress and has nothing to do with it. However, when I enter the url for my other site, it comes up.
Im in the process of looking at marketing options, but Im nervous because if a potential customer wants to go this site using the web address it wont happen.

Contact your domain registrar concerning your A records, they should clear that up for you.

As for search engines, sometimes it can take weeks for a website to show up. It helps to submit the domain name to the search engine for indexing.
    For google, go here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url
