too many files open: Fatal Error

  • So, not too long ago my hosting account was suspended because of ‘overuse,’ but I got it unsuspended. This error is still happening though. This error message keeps popping up:

    Warning: require_once(public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Too many open files in /home/weeshare/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 16

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php53/pear’) in /public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 16

    At first, it was showing PHP errors about the ‘Simple Subscribe’ plugin so I removed the folder from the plugins route in wp-content, but the error is still continuing.

    Does anyone know a solution to this? I removed all of my sub-sites on the install directory and contacted hosting support but they redirected me to here and I’m completely clueless as to what’s wrong – it was working late last night but now it’s just refusing to.

    Thanks in advance.
