• The lite version functions as follows:
    — enable it (easily done, good job on engineering on it)
    — if you decide to try to save space on your local server and leave files just on the S3 bucket (which is the ideal use case.. but not their default settings) new files are moved to the S3 bucket and no way to get them back without buying the upgrade, or manually moving them all and repatching all your media links (tedious and painful)

    I also think their pricing for the pro version is too expensive. If it was like other plugins <$100 for a full feature version (no limits) then fine. But multi-tiered pricing based on number of file limits.

    Yuck!

    Thanks for the feedback on pricing etc.

    Just a note about your “repatching all your media links (tedious and painful)” comment. That really should not be the case with recent versions of WP Offload S3 Lite as it leaves the local URL in the database content and then filters it to the S3 URL when a page is rendered. If you put your media back where WordPress expects it to be (as detailed in its metadata) then no links should need to be updated.
