Support » Plugin: Page Restrict for WooCommerce » Too Bad It Doesn’t Work As Expected

  • This seemed to be exactly what I needed; however, on WordPress 6.0.1 using the Classic editor, it doesn’t restrict access. There is no meta box on the page to set the restrictions as shown in the instructions. The shortcode option also doesn’t work, nor does the screen that looks like it should be a master restriction page.

I came across the plugin through a YouTube video demonstrating how it works that was published just 5 days before I tried the plugin myself. The person was using Gutenberg, so if that is how your site is set up, it might be an option for you. It’s not for my site.

So an update to this review. I tested the plugin out with another site using a different theme. It looks like the problem I’m having has to do with how the theme, Extra from Elegant Themes, integrates with the Gutenberg editor. The alternate options (short code and overview page) do not work on the Extra site. I can restrict sections if I use Gutenberg.

Thanks for your feedback! I didn’t really think to check if the classic editor works, my priority was gutenberg and the Pages page since it was gonna be the most used, not to mention I didn’t really have time to check for any further issues with the plugin. I checked the classic editor and I do see the list of pages in several select boxes are empty. Although given your update it doesn’t seem like that was your issue. Also the Pages page shouldn’t have anything to do with the theme, although that of course depends on the functionality of the theme and the nature of the issues.
Could you explain your issue? I checked the page on my local server and I don’t see any issues nor did I receive any further feedback from the user I last got report about issues. I’ll try to fix it as soon as I can if I can figure out what your issue is but I can’t really promise compatibility for every theme out there especially if they are even breaking my separate page for this.

Hi Vlado, in my case, it works perfectly with the Classic Editor but it breaks with Gutenberg.

All latest versions: WordPress 6.0.2, WooCommerce 7.0.0, Page Restrict for WooCommerce 1.4.10

When I open a page with Gutenberg:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
    /wp-content/plugins/page-restrict-for-woocommerce/admin/partials/menu-pages/pages/pages-vars.php on line 62

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
    /wp-content/plugins/page-restrict-for-woocommerce/admin/class-admin.php on line 144

My guess is that $all_pages is an empty array in such cases

    Thanks

    Hi @tambourinemanhn,
I’ve fixed the issue. Please update to 1.4.11.

Wow, that was fast. Thank you.
