  • I am playing around with a JavaScript technique to toggle sections of my sidebar. This works fine on my resume (, and I’m just sticking my toe in the WP waters. I’ve only tested this on FireFox and Safari. See:

    I’d like to know:

    * if this breaks on any of the major browsers
    * would like to see pointers to other sites that expand/collapse sections of sidebars

(if you do a “page source”, search for “toggle code”)

  • Nicely done though I was searching like a loony at what might look like a collaspable menu bar – it wasn’t very obvious to be honest, so that might be the first thing to fix. Not suggesting a big sign which says click here or feel my wrath. Perhaps something like a tiny icon suggesting there’s more. Perhaps with an addition sign or an arrow or something. Looks fine in FF as you state

Just triedf it in IE and the whole thing drops to the bottom of the page on the left handside. I’m sure it’sCSS and IE specific related, but you may need to add hack or edit the CSS to get it to display in what is the browser used by 89% of Internet users (sadly).
