Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » Toggling off Advanced mod_rewrite should clean .htaccess

  • Many times enabling Advanced -> mod_rewrite slows down sites.

Toggling back to Advanced -> Use PHP to serve cache files should clean all .htaccess stanzas to completely remove all mod_rewrite cruft.

Currently toggling back has no effect, so .htaccess cruft remains + sites remain slow.

Hand editing is required to remove these stanzas.

Be great if .htaccess cruft was removed whenever mod_rewrite is toggled off.

    Thanks.

    Another related problem.

    wp-cache-config.php correctly rewrites $wp_cache_mod_rewrite = 0; + something’s still broken with going back to non mod_rewrite settings.

Selecting Advanced -> Use PHP to serve cache files + removing all .htaccess cruft causes all pages/posts, except home page to return 404s.

Likely wp_options is also out of sync somehow with wp-cache-config.php settings.
