 * Hello again,
 * I was looking through some of the support questions and DataTables docs and came
   across these two things –
 * [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/expand-collapse-rows](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/expand-collapse-rows)

   [http://datatables.net/release-datatables/examples/api/row_details.html](http://datatables.net/release-datatables/examples/api/row_details.html)
 * I was having some trouble understanding how the DataTables/Jquery was implemented
   in order to have the a group of rows collapse/expand (if that is the case and
   I’m not completely misunderstanding things). Was wondering if you could explain
   how to actually accomplish that? I completely understand if it’s something that’s
   out of the range of support, just thought I’d ask as it’d be neat feature to
   have.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi,
 * thanks for your question!
 * This feature is available as a TablePress Extension. For more information, please
   see these instructions: [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-expand-tablepress-row?replies=18#post-4187213](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-expand-tablepress-row?replies=18#post-4187213)
 * Regards,
    Tobias

 * Hey Tobias,
 * Thanks for the quick response again, unfortunately that’s not exactly what I
   was looking for (unless I’m doing something incorrectly). The extension makes
   every row expandable, but I’d like a group of rows to expand from one row. For
   example the “+” on row 1 would expand rows 3-4 out, and then a “+” on row 5 would
   expand 5-7 out. Similar to what is on this page – [http://em3.biz/category-comparison/](http://em3.biz/category-comparison/).
   I’m assuming from the support post regarding that site that there was jQuery
   used, but I’m not too sure.
 * Thanks,
    Manny

 * Hi Manny,
 * yes, the solution from the TablePress Extension adds some extra data below each
   row.
 * For something like in the link you posted, you’ll need to find a custom solution
   then, as I don’t have readily usable solution available for that. jQuery should
   indeed be a good start.
 * Regards,
    Tobias
