• Would anyone be so kind as to show me how to modify this code (header.php) to use a jpeg for the pages title / header?

    Thank you!

  • Just post a link to your site. We can then see all the code we need.

    Okay thanks! http://newsnotsnooze.com/

Its a mess at the moment (as you can see : ) (Just trying to get the design sorted before the content.)

Mmm. Don’t really see what you’re trying to do.

What is it you want to replace with an image? Remember, BTW, that search engines can’t read images. So if you’re worried about SEO, you may want to think carefully about your strategy.

I wanted to replace where it currently says at the top of the page ‘ My Blog / My WordPress Blog’ with a jpeg image..

Thanks for the tip on SEO; very much want to use this image though..

    Cheers,

    Paul

OK. Don’t have a lot of time tonight, but here are a couple of things you could try.

There are a couple of ways. It depends on how your theme works.

If your theme expects a header image, you can work with that. Take a look at this article.

If your theme doesn’t have a header image, take a look at this.

Remember you should make theme changes using a child theme, if you’re not doing to already.

Sorry I can’t give more detail at this point. Post again if you still have a problem. I may have more time later.

    Cheers
