• I have manage WordPress and I like to update the root directory which is hosted by godaddy. I’m using FileZilla and when I connect I see a lot of folders in the right upper pane starting with just / or Bin or lib or root
in the lower right pane there are folders like bin or boot or home etc….
My question is where is the root directory where I should drag and drop the robots.txt file from the left pane which is my computer.

What I tried so far using Filezilla since I didn’t see a Public_html folder that someone recommended as a target; I uploaded the robots.txt file to the area where the License.txt index.php etc. files can be found.
But when I did the test http://www.iarchtectweb.com/robots.txt the returned robot.txt file showed the following parameter values
    User-agent: *
    Crawl-delay: 1
    Disallow: /wp-content/plugins/
    Disallow: /wp-admin/
    Which is very different from
what I uploaded in my robots.txt:
    User-agent: Googlebot
    Allow: /
