 * Hi everyone,
    When i tried to install Alkivia Sideposts into my wordpress server
   it showed these warnings.

   > lib/php/) in /home/d08126/domains/steunpuntbali.nl/public_html/wp-includes/

   > Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in 
   > effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/d08126/:/tmp:/var/
   > tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/) in /home/d08126/domains/steunpuntbali.nl/public_html/

 * It is working perfectly in my localhost. I am desperate since the completion 
   time of the project is nearing.

 * You are receiving this error because open_basedir is enabled on the server. It
   seems that script is trying to access file outside /home/d08126/,/tmp,/var/tmp
   or /usr/local/lib/php/ directory. I doubt your host will disable open_basedir.

    Any way to solve this problem programwise. Yes you are right that
   they wont disable open_basedir. Would like your views on it.

 * I have never used this plugin. From the error message, it seems that it is trying
   to check in “/” instead of your home directory.

 * So what do you suggest i do??
    I have tried to set the upload folder setting 
   in settings->media but still the problem persists. Do you know of any other plugin
   which i can use instead of Alkivia Sideposts. I need to show posts in the sidebar.
   That is my requirement.

 * I never used any sidepost plugin. You may try “Query Posts”. I am not sure if
   it works same as Alkivia Sideposts.
