Hi there,
Can you tell me what is the difficulty you have in use GB? Have you tried using the query loop block to replace the WPSP?
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/query-loop-overview/
Let me know 🙂
Forgive me if the question is trivial, but I don’t understand where to insert the loop query. If I open a category, I don’t see how to insert a GB command to call my template. I’m not sure if I explained myself, I have prepared a template using Elementor (it’s a page in draft mode) that I would like to use instead of a category.

Hi there,
the GenerateBlocks Query Loop needs to be added to a page that uses the core Block Editor. You can’t add it inside a Elementor template as they do not use the block editor
It’s a real shame, WP Show Posts was really useful for being able to assign a template to a category, I can’t find any alternatives. It’s too bad you decided to abandon this project.

WP Show Posts is built with the classic WordPress editor functionality. And it has been mooted for some time that support for that technology would could to an end. When WP finally stops support it would be impossible for us to guarantee the plugins stability.
Hard as it may be , we chose to end development of the plugin sooner rather than later. This gives users the time to pursue other options, rather than leaving it to a point where the software was broken.
Although this is the case we still maintain the plugin, just one month ago we added an extra security layer for potential security risks in newer versions of WP and PHP. This is because we know there are still users working with the plugin. But there must come a time where users move to a more modern solution.
If you want to use GenerateBlocks Query Loop in its place them you will need to use it outside of Elementor.
