Title's lenght displaying

    I want to make static graphics for widgets. I don’t want to see long sidebar with for example “Newest posts”.
    How can I set the maximum letter/word limit so It can’t reach more?

    Instead of “long text long text long text long text long text long text long text long text long text long text long text long text ” I’d like to see “long text long text […]”.

    Anybody? I tried to put it in some “cutters” in PHP but it doesn’t work because it can’t read trough MySQL how long is the text.

    I need at least limit for “Featured Article”. It seems that it already uses it in short description but I cant find code to use on another parts.
