    Hi,
from Custom Post Types Detail-Pages, the Title and Descriptions are not created correctly. Yoast taking Title and Description from the Archive-Settings from CPT also for Detail Page.
Its not a Cache-Problem, i’ve tried everything, it has to do with the last update

    Hi @bergerteam,

It sounds like you’ve changed the SEO title and description for the custom post type archives under SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types but the changes you made are not appearing on the CPT archive page. Is that correct?

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find a problem changing these settings using a custom post type based on the capabilities of posts and found the same for a CPT based on pages (hierarchical).

Can you give us more details about any variables you’re using or what you expected to see for the title or description?

Can you also give us more details about the custom post type’s settings? We’d like to see if we can reproduce the problem.

    Hi Priscilla,

thank you. The CPT was implemented with Toolset, so I can’t output details of the CPT.
The changes i make are appearing in Forntend on CPT Archive

    What i see:
    – The CPT Archive Page Title and Metadescription have the right Title & Description
    – The CPT Detail Page Title and Metadescription have the same!? Title & Description as the Archive (this is wrong)

    Hi @bergerteam,

Have you tried adding the SEO title and meta description individually by editing your CPT posts? This should output the title and meta description of the detailed post.

If this information is not helpful, can you please explain a bit further by taking a screenshot of how the CPT SEO variables are currently set as well as the example link of the posts would be helpful to investigate the issue further.

    Hi Suwash,

i tried adding custom SEO Title and Description by editing the CPT single Post. In frontend is visible the Archive SEO Title and Description, not the idividual one, or the currently in the single CPT Post placed.

@bergerteam If you wish to revert to a previous version of the plugin, you can do so by performing the following steps:

      • Visit https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/advanced/
      • Click on the ‘Advanced View‘ option (this is beneath the plugin version information near the bottom)
      • Under ‘Previous Version‘ select the version
      • Click the ‘Download‘ button.

Once you have downloaded the version of the plugin you wish to revert to, you can then install it by performing a manual install/update to the plugin. We have instructions on how to install/update the plugin manually at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#ftp. You will need an FTP program such as FileZilla and your FTP details, which can be obtained from your host provider.

I have found the Problem: was the update from Yoast SEO Multilingual 1.1.1 to 1.1.2
Reinstalling Yoast SEO Multilingual 1.1.1 solves this problem, but create others.

    Thanks!!

    Hello,

Could you please provide us with the exact plugins and set-up in order to reproduce this issue with the CPTs not outputting the expected title and meta description?

We recommend that you also contact WPML as they are the developers of the Yoast SEO Multilingual plugin.

    Hello Michael,

    here the Plugins:
    – a CPT Plugin (Tested with Toolset and also with CPT UI)
    – YOAST 14.5
    – YOAST SEO Multilingual 1.1.2
    – WPML (newest)

Bug: The CPT Single Post have the same Title&Description as the Archive.
With YOAST SEO Multilingual 1.1.1 this was not the case
