This is a bug on their end.
Hi @theincogtion,
Thank you for reaching out. We understand and see that you have this issue on your homepage and not on other pages. We couldn’t replicate this in our test environment as a bug.
Since your homepage is showing the latest posts, you should be able to configure the homepage title and description under SEO > Search Appearance > General(tab). It should give you an option to configure the title and the description for your homepage. Can you check if the title starts with the separator variable?
Hi @jeroenrotty
No it does not give me such an option.
It tells me what I have to edit the startpage itself but if I click on that link, it remains on the general tab.
This is the Link:

Screenshot:

It’s strange that that link would not work. Just checked this on a local install and the link it gives me brings me to the editing screen of the page set to be the homepage, so I couldn’t replicate this behavior.
If you were to go to Pages and edit the page that is configured to be the homepage, can you double-check the title in the Yoast metabox there?
Hope this helps.
Hmm I did not select a specific startpage:

“auswählen” means “please select”

Hello @theincogtion,
What if you selected the specific page for your homepage and then go to SEO > Search Appearance > General(tab), are you able to configure the homepage title and description?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
@maybellyne no, can’t edit the title nor the description
@theincogtion are you able to select under Settings > Reading a specific homepage and then you can try to edit the information such as the title and meta description?
I still have the problem as the start page is no specific page
Why has this been marked “resolved” the problem still exists?!
