Title of Posts Appears on Some Circles

I imported posts from my WordPress.com blog onto my new self-hosted WordPress blog. I’m using the Spun theme and for some reason, the titles of the posts are appearing on some of the circles on the homepage and the other circles just show the standard images. I’d love to just figure out what’s causing this.

Are you seeing the same thing on the theme’s demo site?

The demo site has one of their circles with words and the rests are pictures. I can’t figure out where I’d make this change.

I’m not sure I understand the issue.
The titles appear in circles that don’t have images, yes. Is that an issue for you?

I think the ones with text don’t have a featured image selected in that post.

I’ve check into that. I’ve gone into a post and selected a featured image, that changes the image in the circle. But when I go back and “remove featured image”, the image that shows up in the circle is just a default one from within the post.

I just went in and made a new posts that had a title and text only and posted it. That showed up as a circle with words. Then I went back in and edited the post and added a few images and updated it. That showed up still as a circle with words.

Spun will attempt to pull the first attached image in the post if no Featured Image is set.
