After installing and activating Ultimate Addons for SiteOrigin, I get a message, “Titan Framework needs to be installed.” The message persists even after I install and activate Titan Framework. However, it disappears after I deactivate Ultimate Addons for SiteOrigin.

What gives? Is Titan Framework required for Ultimate Addons for SiteOrigin? How can I make the message disappear?

    Hi @robinton,

Yes you are correct that is a Bug i will fix in the next update, that is actually related directly to the TitanFramework integration only, that left the notice visible even if the titanframework is installed, i will be fixing it and update plugin.

For now if you may ignore that little notice that would be great. Titan framework actually is required by this plugin as it is being used to create some meta options for the custom post types & also the customizer options.

I will also be provide tutorials & instructions very soon which will help in explaining the use of this also.

    Thanks,
    Munir

Maybe one idea would be to test your plugin first. You can ignore the Titan Framework error but no ‘Ultimate Addon’ widgets are available. This plugin is broken, will not be returning to try it again.

Hi, Munir. Your plugin is really great! And your roadmap/ideas look great, too!

I’m a bit bummed that you’re requiring the Titan Framework for your options. I would guess many people may not install it with that dependency.

Have you thought of building your options a different way that wouldn’t require an options framework? Maybe the same way SiteOrigin has done it with their Widgets Bundle?

    Hi @style960,

Sorry to hear that you are having issues, i did test this plugin and it works fine, can you elaborate your issue specifically please so it can help fixing it.

No widgets will be available by default, you will need to activate the widgets you wanna use from the Plugins>SiteOrigin Widgets. Once activated, those widgets will be available to use everywhere.

Please let me know if that helps?

    Thanks,
    Munir

    Hi @joeathomas,

Thank you for your appreciation & your honest feedback. Yes i get your point and i am actually thinking to remove this titan framework dependency, and build up custom options just like SiteOrigin does. let me get time to think over it and hopefully i will come-up with a better updated version very soon.

    Regards,
    Munir

I have a problem with Titan Framework. I installed it and it froze up my site to the point where I could not log into WP or view my site. BlueHost tech support had to go in and rename of the Titan Framework file in order to give me access. I deleted the plugin once I got back in. Am I having plugin conflicts? I fear to install the plugin again because I might not be able to test the compatibility with the other plugins to find the conflicting one.

    @periskope,

That is strange, may you confirm (if possible) what theme are you using and if possible list down the plugins you have installed.

And i am sorry for the trouble really.

    Thanks,
    Munir

    Hi @anthony

yes i am sorry for that notice, actually i am working on a completely revised version which would eliminate the need of titanframework as some users suggested they do not line installing titanframework and it makes some conflicts with theme options framework as well.

Moreover i am also making each widget more like SiteOrigin Widgets with options within each widget unlike current workaround.

I would not confirm exact date for this to be finished but you may expect it updated very soon hopefully within 1 week, i will do my best.

    Stay tuned please.

    Thanks,
    Munir

Yea I installed the Ultimate Widget Bundle. Then added the widgets. However afterwards I notice “Titan Framework needs to be installed”. So I do a little research and see it is associated with the Ultimate Widget Bundle even though on the plugin page it only says I need to make sure the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is installed.

Anyhow I go ahead and install the Titan Framework. Titan Framework trashes my custom page template css styles. Not good. Guess I can’t use your plugin.

    Munir,

Great idea. Really suspect implementation and installation. Titan install requirement is a no go. I’m commenting here to keep track of your development. Hope you get it working without performance issues. Until then deactivated and uninstalled.

    Good luck….

    Hi @hg & All,

Just to update you all i am almost done with the new update, now all widgets are done with independent option same like SiteOrigin Widgets, there is no dependency of Titan framework as all of you suggested, each widget will have separate options within it, etc.. I still need to tweak some stuff and will hopefully publish the new version within couple of day.

    Stay Tuned…

    Cheers πŸ™‚

    Hi All,

As promissed i have just published the updated version of the plugin have done following updates:

    * Re-coded all Widgets to utilize SiteoRigin’s API more better.
    * Each Widget now has it’s own options, same as SiteOrigin’s Widget bundle widgets.
    * Each Widget now can be styled differently as each one has it’s own styling options as well.
    * Removed Titan Framework Dependency.
    * Customized bootstrap css used to just use the bootstap Grid CSS, excluded all other css from Bootstrap css file.
    * Fixed some small bugs as well.

I would request you guyz to please test and let me know your feedbacks with this new updated plugin.

Note: This is a major update and once updated you might notice that active widgets do not work properly, you simply need to re-add those widgets on page and they will work.

    Thanks,
    Munir
