• I´ve been seeing that a lot lately with my plugins and others. Im talking about ranking Hijacking

“I leave 1 star but if you add this little feature that I only need I will give you the 5 your plugin deserves”

Another similar I found is that your plugin A is not compatible with plugin B , I don’t know who’s fault is, But instead of opening a support ticket I just give 1 star until your fix it.

To be honest Im not sure how is possible to combat these kind of users, I just wanted to say it loud because Im pissed and I wanted to share it with others.

Would be nice to have a “Report abuse” link so developers can fight back, but I know it’s not that easy.

    Thanks

Hi Damian, I understand your concerns, but even rubbish reviews are considered legitimate and not abuse of the review system.

We can assume the community, the people who look at plugin reviews, are clever enough to spot when a review is making unjustifiable claims. What helps too is giving a good response as a plugin/ theme author. A pleasant response can help readers understand what is wrong with the review, and can sometimes persuade the reviewer to change the rating.
