 * In the past 3 years, WordPress.org Core had been compatible with these two plugins
which enable(d) spellchecking in the Edit Post Visual Editor:

 * The first plugin was replaced by Jetpack, and the second has not been updated
in quite some time. I noticed that TinyMCE still offers a spell-checking plugin
   here: [http://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/PHP_Spellchecker](http://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/PHP_Spellchecker),
and wondered if it would be possible to use it (or any other TinyMCE spellchecker
plugin) instead of JetPack, with the upcoming WordPress 4.2 release?
 * If not, could someone please tell me the reasoning behind it?
