Support » Plugins » TinyMCE in jQuery Dialog

  • I’d like to put the TinyMCE editor in a jquery dialog window in a plugin I’m working on but when I try the entire screen goes white and a few editor buttons are left at the top of the screen for like bold, italics, etc.

    When I do the_editor(‘content’, ‘editorid’); on the page it renders just fine but if I use jQuery to move the area into the dialog window I get the same results.

    I also tried making html in the dialog like:

    <div id=’editorcontainer’><textarea id=’editorid’></textarea></div>

    and running

    tinyMCE.execCommand(‘mceAddControl’, true, ‘editorid’);

    on it and that kind of works but the add media buttons only display when in full screen mode and they don’t work anyways, javascript error like tinymce.DOM.get(“add_image”) is null

    How can I get the full advanced editor to work using the wordpress settings defined in the control panel?

    As a side note, why is there no basic jquery-ui style sheet included? Is this supposed to be the responsibility of the theme? Also, anyone know when jQuery will be updated in WordPress? I’d much rather use the latest 1.3 with the 1.7 UI code.
