 * I’m still learning SEO stuff and using AIOSEO slowly. For a small content site,
should I focus on title/meta first, or set up sitemap and schema before writing
   more posts?

 * Hi [@lizahamid](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lizahamid/) ,
 * That’s actually a really good question, and you’re thinking about it the right
   way already.
 * If you’re just starting out with a small content site, don’t get stuck trying
to perfect everything upfront. The best thing you can do is keep publishing content
   consistently while covering the basics.
 * I’d suggest this simple order so you don’t overcomplicate things:
 * Start by making sure your sitemap is enabled in AIOSEO. This usually works out
of the box, and it helps search engines discover your content properly. You don’t
need to tweak much here, **just ensure it’s active **and** submitted** to Google
   Search Console when you’re ready.
We have covered this in our documentation here-
   [https://aioseo.com/docs/submitting-a-sitemap-to-google/](https://aioseo.com/docs/submitting-a-sitemap-to-google/)
 * Next, focus on your titles and meta descriptions for each post. This has a direct
impact on how your pages appear in search results, so it’s worth spending a little
time here as you publish. Keep your titles **clear**, include your main keyword**
naturally,** and write meta descriptions **that make someone want to click.**
 * For schema, don’t worry too much in the beginning. AIOSEO already adds basic
schema automatically for your content, which is more than enough for a small
site. You can always come back later and refine it once you have more traffic
   and content.
 * So in short, get the sitemap running once, then spend most of your energy on
writing good content and optimizing titles/meta as you go. That’s what will actually
   move the needle.
 * I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I’ll
be more than happy to assist you.
