Timthumb and Youtube?

    Hello,
    i was wondering if it’s possible to use timthumb to get images from external sources and create thumbs on the fly.

    I need this particularly for youtube: I’m searching for a solution that will do this automatically, without the need of adding custom fields to post.

    Anyone has got a solution?
