timestamps with future dates for posts

hey,
i have a question that is fairly straight-forwad and totally from the heart.

i am using my wordpress pages ( not looking for google huice here – let me konw if you would like to take a look please ) to post events that are forthcoming. i love the way the dates display on these themes, but when i edit the timestamp for when the event is schedules for, it doesn’t show up until after (as) it happens. yes i realizeit’s a bit of a hack.

so.

is there anyway to make future-dated blog entries show up?
this would be the greatest improvement ever –
and i guess one’d have to make some sort of backwards-compatibility for those who would like to schedule a future post.
