Timestamp trouble

  • Hello. I would like my posts to display timestamps like this: June 8, 2009 8:20 pm which I was able to manage when I was using WordPress.com hosting by changing the General settings / Date Format to custom: F j, Y g:i a . I have since moved the blog (it is now here: http://www.mccormicksmith.com/giles) but despite using the same theme and making the same changes to General settings / Date Format I just get this: July 30th, 2009 . Could someone please tell me how I can change this? Cheers.

    You’ll need to edit your theme’s template file and replace reference to <?php the_date(); ?> or <?php the_time(); ?> with <?php the_time("F j, Y"); ?> <?php the_time(); ?>.
