    Hi
I have not tested the plugin yet but I was wandering how it deals with sending lets say 800 emails.

Will it store the mails to be sent locally before the script times out?

Should I use it in conjunction with an email queueing plugin?

    Thanks
    Nic

    Hi,

The message queue is managed in Mandrill, not in your servers so all you need to do is to send a valid payload with the 800 messages and Mandrill will take care of it for you.

Ok I get that mandrill will queue the messages when the request has been sent to Mandrill.

But the script I am using has a loop that call wp_mail 800 times if there are 800 emails. Will the plugin take care of sending only one request at the end of that loop with the valid api call to mandrill. I don't think this is the case. Is it?

    Cheers
    Nic

No, it will not. If you call it 800 times, it will be sending 800 requests to Mandrill.

You'll need to send one request, with 800 email addresses in the TO: field of the payload. Check this thread out:
