• After updating to WP 3.7 I got the dreaded blank white screen when viewing my website.

Here are the steps I took to get it working again:

1.DEACTIVATE the Timely Event calendar plugin (your site should now be visible after refreshing your browser)
2.** IMPORTANT*** Follow these instructions to remove the file delete script for the plugin otherwise you will lose ALL your events!: http://support.time.ly/manually-upgrading-the-calendar/
3.DELETE the Timely Event calendar plugin. THE DELETE FILES MESSAGE WILL STILL BE DISPLAYED BUT YOUR EVENT DATA WILL NOT BE DELETED.
4.REINSTALL the latest Timely Event calendar plugin
5.REACTIVATE the Timely Event calendar plugin
6.Your site should now be visible and the Timely Event calendar plugin should work correctly.
    WARNING!!!!
You will probably get a notice that there is an updated version:

You have version 1.10.1-standard installed. Update to 1.10.3.

DO NOT UPDATE OR YOU WILL BE BACK TO A BLANK

  • Thanks for posting this, there is also another fix for this. Please also consider the differences between 1.10.3 lite and 1.10.1 standard ther should be no notice to upgrade, if you find one it’s a bug, please report it to us

I was able to fix the one site I support that has Timely using bollycanuk’s instructions too. After this experience, I’ll never use Timely on any other site.

This is pretty terrible that the plugin breaks the website when you do a core upgrade. Tells me that they do a bad job coding the thing.

Actually, as you can imagine, it’s not a coding issue. How can we be responsible if a file get’s deleted when our code it’s not executed? The wordpress core team is investigating on this. How did you perform the upgrade?

The calendar itself is displaying on my site, but when you click on an individual event there is an error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/stevielynnette/spectrumlosangeles.com/wp-content/plugins/google-adsense-lite/providers.php on line 506

What does this mean and how can I fix it? I recently upgraded some plug-ins, and I believe that the Timely calendar was one of those that was updated. Is that how the error occurred?

    Thank you!

    the erring plugin is google-adsense-lite
Please disable it and clicking on the events again.

    Thank you!

Just updated to Version 1.10.10-standard and calendar is completely blank. There are 298 actual events listed in the “all events.” I am not a pro user at this time.
After the update, I was redirected to settings page where I get this message in the settings… “If the form below is not working please follow this link.
Please reload this page if settings pane does not appear.” But the link does nothing but spin. Help Please!

Missing style – dropdowns.I’ve tried many of the solutions posted none seems to work. The calendar was working until I went live and changed directory from –
    http://smba.lertprograms.com/wordpress/ to http://smba.lertprograms.com/

    calendar is here: http://smba.lertprograms.com/calendar/

    Please help… driving me crazy.

    Hello Lisa,

It seems like you are missing some of your CSS. Can you please try the following to see if it resolves your issue:

ftp to your site, and copy the files from
    wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/themes-ai1ecb
    to
    wp-content/themes-ai1ec.

    Overwrite any old files.
Go to your Events > Theme Options > and click Save options. This will recompile your CSS.

Please let me know how this goes.

    Thanks

Updated the Calendar and suddenly I was not able to access any plugins on the dashboard. Got the fatal error message. I deleted the calendar files on the server and everything worked again. I re-installed the calendar and added an event. The title of the event shows but nothing else. Deleted the plugin on the server again. Very disappointed as I liked the way this calendar looked. Too buggy to use though.

    Hello @ntillberg,

To fix this, please FTP your site, and go to Wp-content -> plugins -> All in one calendar -> all-in-one-calendar.php and delete the following code at line 160
    unset( $plugins->active[ array_search( $basename, $plugins->active ) ] );

This should fix the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.
    Take Care

    Hello,

In order to diagnose why this is happening can you please do the following :

    1. Confirm that you are using the latest version of the Ai1EC (v2.0.4) – If not, please do a manual upgrade: http://support.time.ly/manually-upgrading-the-calendar/

    2. Check to see if you are experiencing a theme or plugin conflict: http://support.time.ly/do-i-have-a-theme-or-plugin-conflict/

Please let me know how this goes.

    Thanks

Hi, I’m having an issue with the “upcoming events” widget. It’s only showing in my blog page (http://piedelaw.com/blog/), but it doestn appear on the rest of the pages on the site. Thoughts?

    Hello cucaracho,

Widget bar depends on your theme layout. So, it will show only on the pages where your theme is defining the sidebar in the layout.

    Thanks
