Timeline based on category brings posts from more than one category

If I have two categories, and their slugs have similar content, example: “food-lovers” and “recipes-food” (both have “food” on it), when I create a timeline based on only one category, my timeline will show stories from both categories.

If I have a third category with no similarity, like “fruits”, the stories from this category don’t appear on my timeline.

Category filter is not enabled. The short-code would be something like this:

We didn’t modify any plugin’s code.
