Hi @rgreenstreet,
1. The plugin uses jQuery. Do you have anything that may be blocking that?
2. Is WordPress installed in a different directory?
3. I would like to test this out further, can you please create a ticket at https://wpplugin.org/contact/presale-question/#form and create a time clock user account for me.
Thanks,
Scott
Thanks for your quick reply!
Honestly, I have no idea how to answer those first two questions :-/
I’m testing out options for my boss and I just used the plugin search within the WordPress interface to find and install this plugin, I don’t have any FTP access to check directories
I created a username for you of scottpaterson and password Testing123

Hi @rgreenstreet,
this could be an issue with the plugin in the widget form.
When I insert it as a short code into a seperate page it works perfectly and adds the record and gives me a message saying success?
Are you receiving any error messages?
Are you using two timeclocks on the same page?
Thank you everyone!
I used the shortcode “[timeclock]” to add it to the page, not the widget code (not even sure where to find that)
There should only be one on the page
In the end, though, we decided that we didn’t want to deal with if/when people would forget to clock in/out and editing the records, so decided not to use the plugin
Thank you so much for your help!
Hi @rgreenstreet,
Do you have any recommendation for how we can improve this plugin to meet your needs with people forgetting to clock in/out?
Thanks,
Scott
Thanks Scott!
A fairly easy way, I think, would be to add a field for the user’s email address and send them a reminder to clock in/out at like 8:30 am/4:50 pm weekdays, in their time zone (we have employees scattered across the country)
However our staff have really really flexible schedules, so maybe an option to set times to send reminder emails per user? Ideally that they can set themselves, which don’t have to be done by an admin?
A much more involved solution (which would require way more integration with our specific system) would be to not allow people to start working without having clocked in first. The issue with that is that we don’t work within the website itself, we work out of a GSuite account/email.
