So do you mean that when you go to edit the post and click on “Edit” right after “Publish immediately,” nothing happens? Have you tried logging out, closing your browser, relaunching, and logging in again?
It was as plug in issue. Updated plug in and the problem has disappeared.
I had a similar problem with 2.6 — Was a problem with plugin “WP-Amazon 2.0.” New version of plugin is available, but not through the auto update… Considering switching plugin to something that does.
To resolve this problem if you have it, just disable all plugins you think might be a problem and add ’em back one by one.
Thanks for the heads up, Prosper…
I just got this problem in 2.8.2
I did 2 scheduled posts. On the second one, the visual and html tabs stopped working. It was stuck on visual and the box was blank except for some faint dotted underscores (as it used to be all the time in 2.8.1).
When I went to add a 3rd scheduled post, and clicked on Edit timestamp, it did nothing. Well, the status bar showed the url it was going to, then immediately went to “Done” with no change on the screen.
I tried logging out and in again. Now the color is all missing from the admin side, as if the style sheet was inoperative (the blog itself is fine, though).
I disabled all the plugins. It’s worth pointing out another symptom: the “check all” box did not work, I had to check all the boxes manually. Then they were all disabled, so I went to add another post, but the edit timestamp still did not work, so I have re-enabled everything except maintenance mode.
I tried using the automatic reinstall, but it stopped after the download (this happened before 2 versions back).
