The review section is no place to ask for support. Everything can be changed to your liking by changing the wordpress settings (on which I base myself first to determine 12 or 24 hour format), and you can use event time placeholders to change the way the time is shown. It is all well documented, and I don’t think it deserves 1 star because you didn’t ask for help …
In fact, to be correct: the wp settings are used to determine the 12/24h format when creating/editing events, the event time placeholders are used to format the time to your liking.
The next release will change the default date and time format for events to also use the wp settings, but only for new installations of EME.
The format overrides the settings of WordPress and the default format used a 24 hour format.
The reason I didn’t find that setting right away is I was looking for a switch. Its nice you allow us full control over the format but that really should default to the settings of WordPress and then only override when I change it.
I maybe was a bit harsh. It took me way too long to find a plugin to do what I needed, I then found yours, installed it, was starting to set up events, and THEN could not find where to change such a silly setting. The rating reflects my level of frustration. I then wasted an other hour trying to make other plugins work and ended up coming back to yours. And then to make matters worse I found the widget error. That also was such a silly little error.
Your plugin was the only one that combined registration and paypal that didn’t require me logging in to paypal to change a bunch of settings. That’s important if I’m working with clients and I don’t always have access to their paypal account.
If you fix these silly errors you will have a good plugin. You also really need to make the calendar look better by default.
Well, the date/time format will use the wp format by default in the next release (the widget error is already fixed in the latest release).
But I can’t (shouldn’t) change settings for already installed versions of EME, that’s why I said “only for new installations”.
Btw, could I ask you to change the rating for the plugin? If you ended up using my plugin, giving me a rating of one star just because you didn’t like the default configuration and a small bug ( that was fixed immediately ), doesn’t seem fair to me. And it also doesn’t sshow much appreciation for the many hours and days of hard work I put into the plugin, while still keeping it free/donationware.
