# Time delay in posting

 * I’ve narrowed down a post delay issue to your plugin (using latest version). 
   There are no related errors in either the nginx or php logs nor are there any
   slow queries in the mysql slow query log. I’m wondering if you can help point
   me in the right direction for a solution or other way to track this down. The
   delay is about 3 seconds without your plugin active and 12+ with. Any known issues
   or suggestions? Thanks!

 * Hi Davis, the delay could come from the Ping option. The plugin tries to ping
   search engines about an update to the sitemap after each new post. Try disabling
   the ping options on Settings > Writing and see if that makes the difference.
