Tiles link to external URL?

    Hi.

    Is there any way to get tiles showing images to link to an external URL?

    The reason I ask is I’m hoping to use this plugin on my ‘Partners’ page to display partners logos. I’d like users to be able to either click the image to go to the partners website, or not be able to click at all. Is this achievable with this plugin?

    If so, how would I go about setting it up?

    Hi rmetfd,

    This should certainly be possible. I think you have two options: either filter the actual tiles data (but then you’d have to go over each of them again and set the URL), or change the permalink WP supplies for the posts.

    For option 2, you’d probably set up a custom post type for partners, with a custom field for their external URL and then add a script to change the permalink, eg. like described in this blog: http://jakespurlock.com/2009/09/how-to-point-your-post-permalink-to-an-external-site/ (quite old, don’t know if it still applies!)
