Support » Plugin: Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth » Tiled images don't open in lightbox

Just installed this plugin and was most excited about the tiled mosaic. When enabled on a gallery with images linked to Media File, clicking on an image opens a JPG file in a window rather than launching the Pretty Photo lightbox. I see the images are hosted on wp.com.
I am using the Avada theme.
Is there a fix for this?

Can you make sure that you have the Carousel module enabled? If you do, can you post a link to a page where the problem is occurring?

Sorry Christopher. Figured out after posting that I needed to use Carousel to get the effect. Does not seem that I can ‘trigger’ a lightbox call from the tiled mosaic display.
    Thanks

Sorry I have the same problem, what is the ‘Carousel’ module? is it a plug in?

@wzfoto The Carousel module is part of the Jetpack plugin. You can read more about it here:
    http://jetpack.me/support/carousel

Could you go to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and make sure that the Carousel module is active there?

Just to be clear, if using Tiled Galleries the only compatible modal effect plugin is the Carousel module?
No way to synergize with our preferred lightbox script like Colorbox, prettyPhoto, Slimbox etc?

I think if Tiled Galleries produced a data-rel attribute in the link it could work.

@kalligator You should be able to use other lightbox plugins instead of Carousel. You will just have to make sure that your galleries are set to link to the Media file, and not to the attachment pages.

You can customize the gallery shortcode to link to media files like so:

    [gallery link="file" ...]

Hi, having the same problem here,

@jeremy Herve, we need to set up a hook, in proettyphoto a “rel” with a custom value, with link=”file” its not enough

@noslan You should be able to customize the WordPress gallery by creating your own function and hooking into wp_get_attachment_link. Here is a good example:
