[resolved] tiled gallery thumbnails (3 posts)

I am using the tiled gallery layout and I am pleased with it.

I increased the content-width from the functions.php file so that the gallery would look larger a fit my site better. The downside is that images displayed can look a little soft especially when they are displayed on a large "tile". Here's an example: http://pierrickstevant.com/places/places-color/

How can I modify the thumbnail size so that they would look sharp as they should?

Tiled Galleries do not “upscale” images, but each image is created and resized on the fly, based on the original image you've uploaded.

The size change is not supposed to change the quality of the images, and I don't see any issues when looking at the images on your site, but you're the photographer so you probably have a better eye than me for these things :)

Do you experience similar issues when the Tiled Galleries are deactivated, and when inserting the images full-size in your posts, like so:

    [gallery size="full" columns="1" ids="xx, xy, xz"]

    Hi Jeremy,

I tried what you suggested and I don't experience the problem.

However, it's nice that you didn't notice anything. Maybe I'm just being too picky on that one :-).

    Thanks for help anyway.
