Further more all the documentation talks about “activating” tiled galleries and even mentions “activating” Photon. However, on all my installed versions of Jetpack, activating and deactivating these modules doesn’t seem to be possible, there is no activate or deactivate button for Tiled Galleries or Photon.
Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

Hi Richard,
The url is http://blueleafstudio.net – the specific pages i want tiled galleries on are the single project pages: http://www.blueleafstudio.net/project/rasta-fairies/
I can’t even seem to connect to wordpress.com with jetpack as i don’t see a button at all in the jetpack admin screen…
Tried reinstalling jetpack via ftp and the dashboard but didn’t help…
It’s possible something is hiding the button on your site’s backend. However, I also noticed a php error on the page you mentioned, so maybe there are errors preventing the button from showing.
Could you switch to a different theme for a few minutes to see if the button appears, or install this small plugin to force the display of the dashboard notices?

Hi Richard,
The php error is because the jetpack sharing module wasn’t activated (due to me trying the re-installs), you can now see that has been fixed.
I’ve tried changing themes but that doesn’t change anything for me – tried all the stock wordpress themes with no luck, i don’t see a connect/disconnect button anywhere. No css or javascript errors on that page either.
I do see the blue message div when a module is activated or de-activated but i don’t see one to connect and as i’m not connected i can’t activate certain modules…
A different server on the same site shows a connect/disconnect button just fine.
Installed your plugin but no notices are shown…
Well, I’m at a loss then. Are you sure you don’t have any other plugins active, that may be interfering? Also, do you have the development mode defined in your site’s wp-config file? http://jetpack.me/support/development-mode/
Thats the ticket! I didn’t realise that having debug mode on would prevent things from working!
Thanks 🙂
🙂 In a way, that’s the point of debug mode. It allows modules that don’t require a WordPress.com connection to function, without the prompt to connect.
