Please try the current dev version, you can download here – https://github.com/bueltge/Adminimize
Maybe this version fix that. I have change the hook to change the feature for custom plugins, like Woo. Remove the current version via FTP, copy the version from github. THe settings are in the database, the dev version use also this.
Hi Frank
That didn’t solve the issue. I Removed the version that I had via FTP and installed the dev version. The settings were all set as they were before but the Woo settings are still not working properly. Is there anything else I can try? How do I make sure all the previous settings are removed? I’ve exported a .json of the settings I had.
Please describe me in detail, what you like to hide for which role. Add also a screenshot about your settings. I like to see the options and also which roles are active. Maybe you send me also the json that I can read this content or play with them.
Here is a link to a Google Drive folder with screenshots and the .json file

Using the Woo section as an example, we only want the Shop Managers to be able to see Orders, Coupons and Reports.
Please let me know if there’s any more info you need.

Hi.
Woo implements this menu items only for the Shop Manager and Administrator role. All others roles haven’t access , view to this menu items.
You hide the Woo Sub-items for an role, I think it is your “Email Customizer” role. If this role have the capability to manage object from Woo, like manage_woocommerce, then can this role on default also see all other items.
But if a user role have this capability, I can always hide this items via Adminimize, so that this role don’t get access to this menu items. But you can not enhance a role with new capabilities via Adminimize ot get access. If the capability of an role is not enough, you should use a plugin like Members to change the capabilities in each role.
Hi Frank – I work with David and I’d like to chip in on this thread, if we can. We’re having an issue with Adminimize for the Shop Manager role. This is not a issue with assigning capabilities to user roles, it is an issue with hiding menu items.
On our back end, we have ticked both ‘Reports’ and ‘Settings’ to be hidden from the Shop Manager role, and yet both are visible in their back end when logged in as Shop Manager. We would like Reports to be visible, but not settings, and yet Adminimize is not working like that – the result is inconsistent, and doesn’t match the settings.
What email address can I send screengrabs too?
thanks
Ian
Hi Ian.
If I try this it works. I remove the Reports and/or Settings menu item for different roles. They is hide on this role, where I activated the checkbox.
