# Tickera rest API

 * Hi.
 * I’m trying to create an event using rest api.
 * However, when i publish the event I’m not able to access the event api key. I
   have to manually go into wp dashboard to click update on the event button for
   the api key to appear on the settings->api access section.
 * Please assist. I would like to have it automatic instead of going into the dashboard
   and having to update the event .

 * In tickera/includes/addons/better-events/index.php on line 518 you will see this
   filter
    tc_create_event_api_key_automatically. I’m not exactly sure what your
   code looks like (if you save meta fields or not), but I believe this will help
   you.
 * If you are not sure how to include it, please show us your code and we will see
   how to make it work.
