Ticker not saving settings

Using News Ticker 2.1.23 on WordPress 4.9.8, changes in settings will not save. For example, I have a ticker that has a scroll direction of up. If I change that to scroll direction down, show first tick on init, and click the save button, it doesn’t save the changes.

Any help appreciated.

It sounds like you may have a javascript error happening in your Dashboard. The settings require javascript to fire correctly in order to save the values and if there is an error stemming from any other script you’ll most likely run into issues. Please try running through this article https://www.metaphorcreations.com/article/test-plugin-conflicts/ to see if you can track down something that may be causing a conflict.

Thanks for your reply. I deactivated all plugins except Ditty News Ticker, and installed and activated the Twenty Nineteen theme. Changes still weren’t saved in the News Ticker.

Could it be some kind of permissions issue?

Interesting. Could you install the Query Monitor plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/ and see if it reports any errors?

The only warnings / errors I can see are:

Object Cache
External object cache not in use
The Zend OPcache extension for PHP is installed but is not in use by WordPress

Environment
query_cache_limit 0
query_cache_size 0
query_cache_type OFF
