Hello, first of all thanks for your plugin. I’m using rating-widget with wordpress Suppose Theme.
I’m activated ratings for comments and posts. Ratings shown in posts but didn’t work with comments. When i changed wordpress theme to the default theme, everything is OK. I think problem is about my theme.
How can i fix this ?
Can you pleased activate it and share a url of a page that includes comments so I can check it?
Sure, it’s activated and here’s the url
Make sure your comments template uses
Here’s the reference: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/comment_text
Let me know if you managed to fix this.
theme using wp_list_comments(‘callback=smartik_comments’); in comments.php can i customize this function ?
Yes, this is a high level wrapper function. For example in twentyeleven Theme, eventually the comments calls
twentyeleven_comment()which is located at functions.php. Try to contact your theme developer or dig in the code yourself. Sorry, but we can’t debug every theme.
Keep me posted.
I asked theme developer (Smartik) this problem and resolved 🙂
ThemeDir -> functions/comment_list.php Line #59 – changed get_comment_text() to comment_text() and fixed.
Thank’s for your interest.
Awesome! Happy to hear it worked (and you’ve actually helped the theme developer which is also cool!).
Btw. I would appreciate if you could spend 30 sec rating the plugin on WP to help us spread the word. If you do, don’t forget to click the Post button to submit your rating. Thanks!
