Thumbs missing in Mimbo 3.0 – problem with timthumb script?

I have seen several posts about the problem with missing thumbs, but so far I have not stumbled upon the solution.

When I enter the url containing the timthumb script, with an exmple of one the images that should show as a thumb:

http://kittyarends.nl/wp-content/themes/mimbo/scripts/timthumb.php?src=/images/evolution.jpg&w=150&h=200&zc=1″ alt=””

I get the following error:

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in D:\www\kittyarends.nl\www\wp-content\themes\mimbo\scripts\timthumb.php on line 232 //images/evolution.jpg not found.

I’n hoping for a php-hero to see this who could point out the possible problem and solution.
