[Resolved] thumbnails showing up with random spacing

  • Hi
    am running wp3.5.1 with next gen gallery 1.9.12.Theme= Responsive child theme, from ThemeID.com. Hosting through godsweb.co.uk.
    I have set up 5 galleries which can be seen here
    On the 5th gallery the thumbnails in the bottom to last row show with a massive gap. Any ideas what’s happening there and what can be done to resolve it? Other than this, its a lovely plugin :-)Thanks for your help.

  • Just an update. This is now resolved. After deleting and repuloading the images 3 times all is now OK. Third time lucky eh.

    Thanks

    This usually occurs because one or more thumbnails are 1px shorter than the rest. Deleting and re-uploading recreates the thumbs which may(!) clear the problem.

    If it recurs then you can either, identify the ‘odd’ thumbs and use the re-create thumbnail option on them or amend your css to define a height for the container the thumbs sit in eg
    .ngg-gallery-thumbnail-box { height: 100px; }
    you’d need to play with the height to see what works best for you.

    Quite a few people report this problem and it always seems to be a 1px height differnce, no-one would knowingly do that in a gallery so it may be a bug in NextGEN.
