thumbnails not showing when previewing page

Hey guys,
Not sure if right section. But I came across an issue since updating to the latest version wordpress 4.6 that when clicking the preview page button on pages thumbnails won’t show up on the preview page. I can confirm this is only in the latest update, on the testing website that hadn’t been updated thumbnails on preview links worked then I updated the testing site and they stopped working.The preview url is now adding _thumbnail_id=-1 in the url

http://www.siennahomes-staging.com/display-homes/?preview_id=977&preview_nonce=b596846b24&preview=trueand that link will work with thumbnails. Is there any way or fix to stop the addition of _thumbnail_id=-1 or getting thumbnails to work with it. Thanks.

Same problem here. This is very frustrating. Why add this _thumbnail_id=-1 in preview URL all of a sudden? I freaked out seeing the page like that.
I thought the problem was about wp-includes/post.php and I replaced it with the old one but that didn’t do the trick. Please fix this ASAP
Edit: I just found out this is about wp-includes/revision.php and replacing it with the old (4.5.3) file did the trick. I still want to use the new one though after this is sorted out.
