Title: Thumbnails Invisible Last modified: July 13, 2018 --- # Thumbnails Invisible * Resolved [chrisharkness](https://wordpress.org/support/users/chrisharkness/) * (@chrisharkness) * [7 years, 10 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/thumbnails-invisible-3/) * Hi, * Unfortunately there is no way for you to view the site as it is not currently live, however when I paste the shortcode in to the page I get grey boxes with the image titles underneath them, a magnifying glass and a link icon. If I click on the magnifying glass I get the full screen image. If I load the preview from within the plugin it displays the gallery properly, however when it is in a page on the site rather than within its own preview, the plugin does not show the thumbnails. * Any ideas? I hope it is something common and simple you can solve without needing to see the page. Don’t forget to clean cache files before checking. Would be great if you could check the website console and see if there are any errors( if possible, send us a printscreen of it to check). Same happens in the WordPress 2015 and 2016 themes. * I was wondering if the URLs that the plugin uses could be the issue? I have my hosts file set up to redirect the URL to the space where the folder I’m using for testing the site is. When you press F12 the console opens.
