# Thumbnails for Recent Posts

 * Hello everyone,
 * Sorry, i’m new – i thought i saw an answer to this before but i can’t seem to
   find it anywhere so apologies if i’m duplicating.
 * I would like to add a little thumbnail next to my recent posts in the sidebar(
   i’m at [http://www.xameliax.com](http://www.xameliax.com)) but i can’t seem to
   figure out how – just a little square/rectangle thumbnail of the feature photo
   would be great.
 * Ideally i would like to change that to popular posts in the long run…can i do
   that with a plugin or would it be a coding thing?
 * Sorry if i’m sounding a bit daft, i’ve come from tumlr so the past two days learning
   wordpress and plugins/widgets/php have been a REAL learning curve!!!

 * Adding a featured image to the recent posts will involve custom coding.
 * Basically you can do it yourself or can look for a plugin which does it
