# Thumbnails for external links

 * I’d appreciate some help with finding out if it’s possible to use a plugin to
   generate a thumbnail when I put an external link into a post, for example, in
   the same way that Facebook puts a thumbnail with links.
 * I’ve searched and can’t find what I’m looking for.
 * Any ideas?

 * Thanks, but I’m not sure that’s exactly what I’m looking for. For example, if
   I put a link to another site or article within my post, how can I automatically
   create a matching thumbnail for that link?
