thumbnails appear to not cache

no matter what i try i can not get the thumbnails to cache. I just get the default gray background with the white dots in the middle. Without caching it works fine.

im using cloudaways hosting and in the breeze caching plugin (by cloudaways) i have the following 2 js files excluded from minification and grouping:

wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lyte-min.js
wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lyte.js

i dont get any 403 errors in the console either. No errors regarding the youtube thumbnail or the plugin.

im a bit stumped. Any help is appreciated.

thanks for the quick turn around. Cache for thumbnails is enabled. I cleared the Breeze Cash (cloudaways).

just tried and its still not showing the thumbnails for me.

looks like a problem with a cache somewhere;

this does not work;

so the question is; what caching layers do you have? find the culprit & clear it and all should be fine 🙂

thanks for the tip.

for those also on Cloudaways Hosting, i solved this issue by excluding /wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyteThumbs.php in the Varnish using this guide

hope that this helps others with same issue, or similar issue.

I had this problem also, and all of the above + exluding lyteThumbs.php from the CloudwaysCDN is what fixed it for me.
